Checkpoint: timed fix-and-verify

Set **7 minutes**. The method should return the **median** element of an ODD-length array (the middle element of the sorted order — find it without changing the caller's array order). It fails on arrays where the answer sits after a descending pair. Find, fix, verify. Afterward: log target vs actual and name the phase that ate the time.
