Checkpoint — Synthesis. Pass the graded challenge: Josephus survivor — a Fenwick over positions with a descend-the-tree kth select, reduction modulo the remaining count each round. Linear per-round counting is the hunted timeout; queue-scan-to-last-survivor is the hunted wrong convention.
